Frequently Asked Questions
-
LYNOTT jewellery is made from surgical-grade 316 stainless steel with PVD 18k gold plating, so it is made for everyday wear. To keep it looking its best: put it on last and take it off first; take it off for swimming, the gym and sleep; keep it away from perfume, lotions and false tan; wipe it with a soft dry cloth; and store it in its LYNOTT box or pouch.
-
Yes, LYNOTT jewellery is water resistant, so everyday splashes like washing your hands or rain won't spoil it. For the longest-lasting finish, take it off before swimming in the pool or sea, hot tubs and long showers or baths, and dry it if it gets wet.
-
No. Our PVD 18k gold plating is bonded to 316 stainless steel, so it is tarnish resistant and keeps its colour far longer than standard plating. Stainless steel doesn't react with skin the way brass or copper does, so it won't turn your skin green.
-
Yes. LYNOTT jewellery is hypoallergenic and nickel free, and suitable for most sensitive skin and sensitive ears.
-
Yes. Perfume, hairspray, lotions, moisturiser and false tan can dull any plated finish. Let them dry before you put your jewellery on.
-
Wipe it gently with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For marks, use a little warm water with mild soap, rinse and dry fully. Avoid abrasive cloths, silver dips and harsh cleaning products.
-
Store each piece separately in its LYNOTT box or pouch, somewhere cool and dry, so chains don't tangle and pieces don't scratch each other.
-
Every LYNOTT piece comes with a 1-year manufacturing warranty. Email info@lynottjewellery.com with your order number and a photo and we'll help.
